Make-a-Wish Norway wanted 100% control and increased efficiency

Make-A-Wish wanted to look at how they could effectively onboard volunteers while meeting the strict requirements for working with children. They also have a high turnover of volunteers who want to help, and it is challenging to keep track and be 100% compliant.

What:

The Make-A-Wish® Foundation has offices in over 40 countries across four continents and is a leading private charitable organization, with a particularly large footprint in the United States.

Their goal is to create hope, strength and joy for children with life-threatening illnesses by fulfilling their greatest wish.

Challenge:

There is a large number of volunteers who want to contribute at any time. All volunteers must undergo background checks and sign confidentiality agreements, etc. Manual processes were very confusing and inefficient. Most of the children are in hospital and are in a vulnerable and critical situation, with strict requirements to ensure the child's welfare.

Solution:

Make-A-Wish wanted to see how they could efficiently onboard volunteers while still meeting the strict requirements. Among other things, they have to check the police clearance of all volunteers who will contribute. In addition, they have to sign an NDA, or "non-disclosure agreement", which is required before they can engage the candidate. Since everyone works voluntarily, and there are requirements for efficiency and compliance, they wanted a system that could simplify the work and ensure that they had 100% control.

With Manymore, they got a solution where they could easily manage and organize volunteers in a safe and good way, where privacy concerns for both volunteers and children were well taken care of.
